    She believes in holistic cardiac care and is versatile in all aspects of cardiovascular medicine, based on current standards and guidelines, from prevention to diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Shih completed her Cardiology Fellowship training at Loyola University Medical Center after graduating from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has been practicing Cardiology since 2001 and is currently on staff at Provena Mercy Hospital in Aurora, Illinois and Valley West Community Hospital in Sandwich, Illinois.

Dr. Shih is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Nuclear Cardiology.  

Besides medical training, Dr. Shih also has a Master's Degree in Administration from Northern Michigan University and a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from Indiana University. Dr. Shih is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish interpretation is provided by Tim.
